Day Five - June 18

Tuesday June 18
  • Katrina decorated their kitchen with festive banners and candelabra to celebrate Francis' birthday.
  • We opened birthday gifts and enjoyed coffee at home before grabbing breakfast Gather, our fave cafe in Batheaston.
  • We planned a few day trips around the region and start with a 10 minute drive down the Bath Road to Box, Wiltshire for a look at the Thomas a Beckett Chapel
  • Then continuing 10 minutes along the Bath Road to nearby Corsham to see St Bartholomew's church  and a wonderful High street
  • While in Corsham, we stop in to the Previous gift store for some items for FG's birthday, and some unique items for Oliver
  • We stop for lunch at bird house cafe in Box - courtesy of K and A.
  • On our way back, we make a sentimental stop at Entry Hill House to re-visit Katrina and Alex’s first official home in Bath which is now up for sale after they enjoyed over 7 wonderful years there! We made are there to pick up a humidifier.
  • Super comfy seats at the Little Cinema in Bath! (the final act of our Christmas, 2018 surprise visit!) to see Sometimes, Always, Never with Bill Nighy -courtesy of K and A.
  • We close out the day enjoying a fabulous meal at a favourite restaurant in Bradford-On-Avon, Timbrell’s Yard. It was a great birthday celebration from K and A for Francis
